A thought for the day . . .

A reporter asked us today about Sarah Palin’s religious beliefs, didn’t it disturb us that her support for Israel might be motivated by some Christian millenarian doctrine, or some such thing.

We said, “Wait a minute. Barack Obama sat in a church for 20 years in front of Jeremiah Wright preaching ‘G-dd–m America!’, the church newsletter ran unedited Hamas bulletins, and you have the nerve to ask me about Palin’s religious beliefs? Have you no shame?”

(If they print that, we’ll post it for you!)

Surprise! Turns out they almost printed what we said:

[Korn] dismisses those, including the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, who have been spooked by Palin’s use of rhetoric that hints at a belief in a “regathering” of Jews in Israel preceding the return of Jesus Christ and Jews’ “conversion to Christianity and their mass death in the battle of Armageddon.”

Said Korn: “Jeffrey Goldberg can write what he wants … but if a person is going to be fair about this, and you want to raise questions about the religious motivations of a politician let us start with the 44th president,” he said, referring to the controversy surrounding President Obama and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

“I’m not even talking about any Muslim implications here, but given his policies, you wonder,” Korn added. “I accept at face value that he’s a Christian, but then why do you bow to the king of Saudi Arabia?”

Actually, Sarah has not been afraid to show her pro-Israel stance for several years. A large Israeli flag was always displayed in her Juneau office.

    re: Jeffrey Goldberg’s statement:

As an evangelical pastor,I know of no teaching among mainstream evangelical christians suggesting any “mass death” in the battle of Armageddon for jews only. Anyone perpetrating that idea is misguided… indeed the enemies of the Jewish State and of God shall “fall upon the mountains of Israel” as described in the Revelation and in Zachariah ch. 12,13 and 14:12.

As an evangelical pastor it is my hearts desire to see God’s blessing upon his chosen people; still my heart tells me that the natural seed of Abraham shall ultimately embrace that one who is her very own manchild.

a confrontation with Iran is coming, Obama has laid the ground work to make it as easy as possible for Iran to get nukes.what he did not plan on was Sarah Palin and the love that not only she has but the american people have for Israel. Palin must be supported, she is the only loud voice speaking out against Obama. she will not back down and we must not back down. years from now I do not want my grandchildren going to services remembering those who died in Israel from a nuke attack by Iran. I am a conservative Jew and we must confront all those Liberal Jews who are blind to the danger that Obama policies are to Israel.

I am not Jewish, but I have a deep love and strong support for Israel. I have bookmarked this site. I enjoy it very much. With all the best.

“Why are liberals so hateful, I can never understand that.”

Because their hate and their violence are part and parcel with the lies they spew, and with the death and destruction that comes from their policies.

  7. Sandy says:

Sarah did not suddenly jump on the “I love Israel” wagon, she expressed her love for Israel from the first moments she arrived on national TV.

Obama’s loyalty to Israel has been questionable since day one.

  8. Sandy says:

I just read the remarks over at tpmdc. Why are liberals so hateful, I can never understand that.

TPMDC conveniently left out your very excellent response! The truth is always inconvenient to liberals.

Rev Wright is a Jew Hater. Obama set in his church for 20 years. Yet liberals think Jews should feel safe with a man like that?

I soooo appreciate this site!!! Excellent!

  10. Dan says:

Good response! I noticed they did not print the whole response though!

  11. Sol Jacob says:

Obama has no shame, he also associated with people that never apologized for perpetrating violence against the government, William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn.

  12. Sandy says:

Now that was a great response!!
